You can't buy reputation. You earn it.
Your MCRep Score is built primarily from verified reviews and completed collaborations, with additional trust signals from your professional history and profile.
You can't buy reputation.
Nothing you pay for changes your score, your tier or your badges.
AI doesn't decide whether your work is good.
Optional portfolio feedback is private to you and never counts toward your score.
You earn reputation by doing good work with real people.
Verified reviews and completed collaborations carry the most weight.
Most of it comes from other people
Reputation is what others - and real, finished work - can confirm about you. What you add yourself helps people understand you, but only other people can move you up.
From the people you work with
Reviews from people you actually worked with on MCRep. These count far more than anything else - an unverified review counts only a fraction.
Jobs and projects that were finished on MCRep. Real, delivered work is the strongest proof there is.
Quality, communication, reliability and professionalism - blended over time, so one review can't make or break you.
From your own profile
Your roles and experience help people understand your background.
Your work and a complete profile make it easier to trust you - but they add only a little on their own.
Trust works both ways
When a review comes from a real collaboration on MCRep, it's marked as a Verified Collaboration and carries far more credibility than an unverified review. Hiring managers can check creators - and creators can check whether a studio or client is worth working with.

Built to be hard to game
- Verified collaborations - only people who really worked together get the verified label.
- Unverified reviews count far less - a review without a collaboration behind it barely moves a score.
- One review per relationship - reviewers can edit, not spam.
- Category boards need real variety - verified reviews from at least 2 different people.
- You can't buy it - nothing you pay for affects reputation.
- Moderated - reviews and profiles can be reported and are checked by our team.
Strong reputations, by craft
A modeler and a Java developer aren't competing with each other, so we don't rank everyone on one list.
These lists fill up as people complete work and collect verified reviews from different collaborators.
Start building yoursQuestions about reputation
Can I buy a higher score?
No. You can't buy reputation. There is nothing to pay for that changes your score, your tier or your badges.
Does AI decide whether my work is good?
No. The optional portfolio feedback is private, only you can see it, and it never affects your score. Your reputation comes from the people you work with.
What is a "Verified Collaboration"?
A review is verified when you and the reviewer worked together on MCRep - one of you hired the other, and the collaboration was completed or ran for at least 7 days. Verified reviews carry far more weight than unverified ones.
Does it work both ways?
Yes. Studios and clients review the creators they hired, and creators review the studios and clients they worked for. Anyone can check either side before working together.
Will adding lots of projects raise my score?
Only a little. Your portfolio and work history help people understand you, but on their own they keep you in Stone. Verified reviews and completed collaborations are what move you up.
Can one bad review ruin my score?
No. Ratings are blended with a neutral starting point until you have enough reviews, so a single review - good or bad - cannot swing your score wildly.
Is the formula fixed?
The principles are: other people and real work count most. We fine-tune the exact weighting as the community grows, so we don't publish fixed percentages.
